On my Mac, I tend to use Safari as my main web browser. Sure, I have Firefox installed but it "feels" slower and I don't really benefit from the plug-in architecture, so why bother? On Windows, I use Internet Explorer a lot but I installed the Safari beta for the fun of it.
Lo and behold, I found myself bringing up Safari for my browsing more often than not, simply because it is the best RSS reader of any browser. I am sure there are some nice feed readers out there, but I'm a simple person. To me, it's the job for the browser to handle my news, since I will more than likely be clicking through to the website anyway.
What I like about Safari is the River of News aspect of it. I have a folder in my bookmarks bar that contains my list of subscribed feeds. If there are new posts, there is a visual cue to alert me. I click on the folder, choose "View All RSS Articles" and I get a list of all my feeds to peruse in one convenient list. I have yet to figure out how to duplicate this in Firefox or Internet Explorer, but I don't really need to.
